Windfall Pear And Chocolate Crumble

Scummy crumble with chocolate.

I used the some of the windfall pears to make this, the rest are going into a pear upsidedown.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Wash your pears, i did peel ours and removed all the bruises.

    Remove the core and pips and halve or quarter them.

    Place pears in your dish.

    Pour over enough water to cover the bottom of the dish.

    Place the flour, margarine, oats, sugar and cinnamon into a mixing bowl and rub until resembles large breadcrumbs.

    Now chop up the chocolate into small pieces.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Stir almonds and chocolate into your crumble mixture.

    Now tip over your pears and smooth the top.

    Bake in the over for approx 30 mins at Gas mark 4

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Take out the oven, using a skewer or knife check that the pears are soft.

    Now serve.
