My friend had this shelf lying around, and I'd brought my paints and brushes to her house for some projects. She brought it out, and painted it black(leaving the inside of the shelves the funky cool colors she'd painted it years ago), I smudged the bottom of each shelf with white, and painted Wiccan symbols on the sides in silver. On the front, I painted it to look like a vampyre tattoo from House of Night(book series), then dotted the edges of the shelves with the element colors, with silver dots in between.
