When everything is beautifully blended, pour it into serving vessels. Because I like to pretend to be posh I've put it in wine glasses.
If you're sensible and value your life, you might want to wait for the mixture to cool a little bit before you put it in cold glasses. Cold glass does not like hot. I have broken so many bowls and glasses forgetting this vital rule.

Stick the chopped up strawbs into a pan, and this is where you get a choice:
You can either make a weird kind of jam by smoodging the strawberries under your spoon and adding sugar and heating it through,
OR
you can make a syrup out of the sugar and the balsamic vinegar by doing the above, without the smoodging, and with balsamic vinegar. I know vinegar might sound an odd choice but it's what posh people do, and they do it for a reason. It is lovely. Plus, it's balsamic which is totally different from other vinegars.

It's just vinegar with strawberries really, and it has to be balsamic. (and you ought to put some sugar in with the vinegar, and make a 'reduction' so thicken it up. Just simmer it together for a while.)
Strawberries work well with black pepper too.
