Readers of my blog or who have visited my shops in the past know that I like to make art and jewelry with rather strange or unconventional items. I had the random idea quite a while back to try and create a piece with bottled water caps. Now, Bob and I go through a lot of bottled water, especially now that we've both stopped drinking sodas and energy drinks--three weeks now and counting! So I began collecting a metric ton of these caps that I've been hoarding away for some future bizarro project, whatever it would turn out to be.
And so I bring you, Caps I. I painted two layers of light and dark blue paint on a square of corrugated card board. The caps were given swirls of green, aqua and pale blue acrylics and glued to the board. Yes, it's weird, I know, but also pop-art-ish and groovy at the same time. Plus I recycled!

Glad you like this! Imagine what you could do with a huge poster board and different colored caps, too.

Me and my friends did something simliar to this. We had a set of art pieces based on the environment and being eco friends. so we painted bottle capts [the ones from beer cans] blue and green and all shades in between, then pasted them in a way which created waves lines. It was awesome tastic :D
