Watermelon Cake!
I made this 2 summers ago when I first started to fall in love with baking. The finish is far from perfect, but I look forward to perfecting this one!

You Will Need

  • Step 1

Two 9in' round cakes cut in half does this trick. Can be made with any flavor cake.

  • Step 2

Make the frosting by separating your frosting into two bowls, incorporating green food coloring into the first bowl, and red into the second bowl.

  • Step 3

Frosting starts out easy and gets a bit tricky. Frost the round back first with the green, smoothing it out nicely (not like I did, lol). Frost an inch on top of the cake with green and an inch on the front. The rest is frosted with the pink.

  • Step 4

Use jelly beans for the seeds, although I did not have any so I used kidney beans.
