Rock-a-bye baby on a tree top!
My favorite Christmas ornament has always been a tiny walnut baby we've had as long as I can remember. This year I decided to recreate this teensy treasure... and I couldn't stop at just one. Now there's a walnut baby play date on my tree!

Step 1Carefully split open the walnut. Ideally, you'll have 2 perfect halves. Scrape out the inside of the nut.

Step 2Cut one half of the walnut in half. This can be tricky as there's no easy way to get a straight cut.

Step 3Hot glue some ric rac to the cut edge of the quarter shell.

Step 4Hot glue a small square of fabric to one side of the inside of the half shell.

Step 5Hot glue the other side of the fabric to the other side of the inside of the shell.

Step 6Stuff some polyfil or a cotton ball under the fabric.

Step 7Draw a face on a wooden bead and glue it onto the cotton and fabric.

Step 8Hot glue the 2 shell pieces together.

Step 9Hot glue small wooden beads onto a piece of the toothpick and hot glue onto the bottom of the shell.

Step 10Hot glue a piece of embroidery floss to the front and back of the shell.

Step 11Hang on your tree and cherish forever!
