I cut out a bib shape from the leatherette and stitched on a selection of beads and buttons then I sitched on pearls to fill the gaps. I stitched another piece of leatherette exactly the same shape to the back to cover all the sewing from the buttons. I then stitched on a hoop each side, taking the corner over the hoop to secure it. Finally I addded the ribbon to tie it round the neck. I think a denim version of this with brightly coloured buttons would look good too.
