You Will Need

Step 1Cut off the top of the pillowcase. You will now have a tube approximately twice the desired length of the skirt. Serge or zigzag the raw edge.

Step 2Now turn the edges inside. Keep turning until the top almost reaches the bottom hem. Your skirt will be double layered, since most pillowcases are slightly see through.

Step 3Measure approximately 2 inches (5cm) from the top and stitch leaving a small opening to insert elastic.

Step 4Reach between two layers and insert elastic through the opening you've left. Stitch the opening shut. You have a brand new skirt!
