sweet as a rose!
I absolutely LOVE this locket :)
I used a plastic rose off an old earring for my decoration
(I lost the other one :/ )
I hope you like it- i do! :D
This is a reaaaaallllllyyyyy llllloooooonnnnnggggg how-to, but Caeli L's how-to is sooooo much shorter and easier to follow if you don't understand mine!! :D xx

Step 1First, get your 2 bottle caps!

Step 2if your bottle tops have a rubber layer on...like mine! Just peel it off..it's pretty easy to do!

Step 3The 2 bottle tops should look like this:

Step 4Use the end of your hammer or pliers to bend the the rims.

Step 5Keep bending...

Step 6There you go! They should now look like this:

Step 7Thread your beads onto a piece of string or tread and tie a small knot, so that the beads form a circle.

Step 8Like this:

Step 9gather up all your things together.

Step 10Draw round both of your bottle tops onto your fabric and cut them out.

Step 11Also cut out a small strip of fabric

Step 12You should now have this:

Step 13Glue your strip onto one bottle cap

Step 14Then onto the other

Step 15Then add the beads to the outside:

Step 16Glue your 2 circles of fabric onto your bottle tops like this:

Step 17Then add your decoration to the locket

Step 18Add a chain and your done!!
I'd never have looked at a bottle cap before and thought of doing anything like this with it!

Maybe I came across as rude or offended through my posts, but I'm seriously not. What I mentioned about having multiple how-tos for the same project applies, in my opinion, to all projects.
I DO celebrate and support creativity and honestly believe that sharing is caring
Don't worry about turning your how-to into a version, seriously.
I never claimed that this locket was my idea, I also learned how to make it at school, so I know it isn't something I came up with and it's certainly not the FIRST one ever made.
I just think it's useless to have two or three how-tos for the same thing, specially in this case, being the steps and the design exactly the same...
I, for one, do have the care of searching the site prior to posting to see if it has been made before. If it has, I'll post it as a version (wich I think is way more usefull than, again, having several tutorials for the same outcome) Maybe I'm the only one doing it.
Anyway, and on a brighter side, yes, Georgia's locket looks mighty cute

I remember doing this at school and it's a simple enough project to come up with so stop nagging and celebrate each others creativity
