vintage doesn't always mean demure and ladylike...
I wanted some accessories that would really stand out from the usual - to go with a hot pink catsuit - and I had just gotten some really pretty neon pink and black leopard print material... so...

I grabbed a set of instructions off of Google for making a teardrop-shape cocktail hat. It was my first try so it's not really perfect (the underside has some messy hot glue work, lol) but I love it! I put some black tulle scraps on the top and did the edge with the leftover rhinestone trim I had from making my other hat. Then I glued two snap clips underneath to make sure it stayed on, and poked a small hole through the top to hold the two awesome feathers :D It still needed a little something, though - so I grabbed the latex bow I made a couple of weeks ago, and clipped the barette on the back of it to the tulle. Then it was perfect!

Next, I took a plain black PVC choker I had, and some PVC scraps. I made a big bow out of the scraps and I didn't want to glue it to my nice black collar, so I sewed a thing of PVC around the collar and then glued the bow to that. It holds everything, but if I want, I can slip it off the collar and have it plain again. Then I took the pink plastic heart gem from a hair accessory I had, and sewed it to the bow so it would match.

Finally, I took a bit of extra sequin elastic trim I had that was black and an extra hot pink ribbon bow. I made another little bow out of black tulle, and sewed the sequin elastic into a bracelet. Then, I took some pink thread and sewed a pink bead into the middle of the tulle bow and the ribbon bow, and put them on a safety pin. Stuck the safety pin through the elastic - and now I have something I can take off if I want to! (I like to make interchangeable things, to go with many different outfits and looks.)
