a great way to use vintage hankies, scarves & napkins!
I always pick up scarves and hankies and had no idea what to do with them. I am fashionably challenged so I made them into something I would wear almost every day! (they're also cute for super fancy doggie scarves!)

  • Step 1

select a hankie and a large cloth napkin or scarf that are complimentary.

The hankie will be the top layer and the scarf or large napkin will go underneath.

  • Step 2

Individually fold them in half to make a triangle & cut along fold. (assuming that there are no stains on either piece each project will yield 2 head scarves)

  • Step 3

fold the rough edge under & then fold the ribbon or bias tape over the rough edge. Hand stitch or use a sewing machine to sew the ribbon/tape closed.

    aaaaand you're DONE!

I got a whole bunch of scarves from the charity store, so I'm going to give this a shot. Thanks!
