Old Duvet to Useful Cushion
This oversized cushion started life as a duvet cover. I've made my cushion 75cm x 65cm but it can be any size you like.

This is a fantastic way to change your favourite childhood duvets into a useful oversized floor cushion.

What you need:
Duvet Cover
Back Fabric
Stuffing
Sewing Machine
Simple Sewing Kit

  • Step 1

Decide what size you want your floor cushion and add 1cm for seam allowance. Cut out the desired size from the duvet cover making sure you have the required picture in the centre.

  • Step 2

Cut another piece of fabric the same size from your back fabric choice.

  • Step 3

Pin right sides together. Sew around the pieces leaving a gap for turning.

  • Step 4

Turn right side out and stuff. Sew gap closed.
