I'm afraid Lipstick and creme eyeshadows will smudge and won't show up. Why not try some non-toxic face paint? I personally love this and am planning to post a version,I think the White face paint will pop more and the red and blue face paint will show up brighter ontop of it. Great idea, by the way. Love it :]

you could try liner pencils (eyeliner for the blue and white and lipliner for the red.) then just clear gloss over it
