Fun for any costumes you can think of. they are easy to make and almost free. and better then those cheap wands you see that at a halloween store that cost to much.

  • How to make a wand. Tulle Wand - Step 1

    You will need a 12” wooden stick and 1 yard of 1” satin ribbon.

    Put a dot of hot glue on the stick tip, and secure it to the shiny side of the satin ribbon, about ½” from the edge.

    Then fold the ribbon over the stick and glue the end to the stick.

    Tuck in the ”wings” and start rolling the ribbon around the dowel. Make sure the shiny side is on the outside.

    Continue wrapping the ribbon around at an angle. You might want to add a dot of hot glue every now and then.

    When you get to the edge, put a dot of glue on the end of the stick.

    Roll the ribbon around a few times past the end of the stick.

    When you are done should look like this

    Take two pieces of accent ribbon and tie around top of wand.

    Tie two more pieces to the other side. (Use double knots.)

    I use left over tulle for a tutu I made,

    You will need about 20-30 pieces of tulle. Stack the tulle in a pile and gather other supplies close by.

    {note I just put up a easyer way to make the pom pom so just look my how to make pom poms in my projects}

    One by one, bunch the pieces of tulle together in your hand by securing the bunch in the middle.

    Then tie the tulle together in the middle with the elastic rope tied as tightly as possible.

    On one side, put a drop of hot glue in the middle on top of the elastic.

    Hold the end of the ribbon wand on the hot glue until secure.

    Use both hands to separate the pieces of tulle to form a ball.

    Some tulle pieces will stick out too far. Clip with scissors as needed.
