Make a bead brooch
Although this is a brooch design, it can be adapted as a pendant, shoe clips or earrings! It's also a great way of using up odd beads that have been lying around … Just pick the colours of any outfit and create this for your jacket/coat or cardigan!

    Step 1

    Working directly from a spool of 20-gauge wire, place your round nosed pliers at the end and form a complete loop. Continue placing your pliers along the wire, to form a line of loops – about 10 in all, to create a brooch of about 1.5” in diameter. Cut row of loops from the spool.

    Using your fingers, form the row of loops into a circle, bringing the two ends together so that they overlap.

    Cut a long (arm's length) of 26-gauge wire and wrap this around the ends to secure and then begin threading with your beads, filling in the circular space.

    Once you've covered the front of the circle with beads, turn it over and using another length of 26-gauge wire, 'sew' on a brooch finding to the back.
