Turn your old t-shirt into a fancy baby dress
 <  Image 1 of 5  >

My favourite American Apparel t-shirt (Sheer Rib
Shirred Cap Sleeve) was falling to pieces, but it was so nice and softly washed that I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. Insted I used the good bits (pieces of the arms and bodice) to make a baby dress. Just place a baby dress in the desired size on top of your t-shirt and cut out the pieces - try using original seams and nice details (I kept the shirred arms). Sew together and use fold over trim to hide undesired raw edges.
