My boyfriend bought some Tripp pants at the salvation army.the legs zipped off and he liked them better as shorts so he gave me the bottom pieces. they were so wide i decided to try and make a skirt out of them.

take the two bottom leg pieces that zip off of the pants and cut them along the seams,so you have two large rectangles,and remove the chains with pliers.

flip the pieces upside down so that the draw strings are at the top.measure your waist and divide the number by two.then cut each piece to that length.if your waist is 30 inches, 30x2=15. so each piece will be 15 in.

if you want an a line skirt make your cuts slightly slanted so each piece will be wider at the bottom.

remove the draw strings and sew the pieces together,careful not to sew up the holes at the top where you will thread the drawstrings through.
slip on the skirt tie the strings and enjoy!
