Description

Hair jewelry is big these days - you can find hair chains almost everywhere. This tutorial shows you how easy it is to make your own.

Instructions

  1. Small t6

Drill holes on your stars as shown in the photo. Here I used three different-sized stars: I drilled one hole on two arms of the biggest star, and one hole on one arm for the remaining two.

  2. Small t5

Paint your stars with nail polish, about two coats each side. Paint following the direction of the grain.

  3. Small t4

Now, you will want to cut pieces of the felt that would fit just right behind your stars. Sandwich that between the bobby pin prongs and stick it down wrong side up to the backside of the star. Do the same for the other two stars. Make sure to pay attention to where your bobby pins are pointing to - you'll want them to point inwards (towards each star).

  4. Small t3

Now it's time to assemble it - first measure and cut your chains, making sure one of them is longer than the other (mine is about 3 inches longer) for a nice draping effect. Attach your jump rings to the chains and the stars as shown in the photo.

  5. Small t7

Time to fit it. If it's too short or too long, just adjust the chain to your liking.
