Keeping your jewelry safe on the road
I wanted to make a pouch or something for a jewelry swap, but I wanted to keep the jewelry separate and not get tangled. I didn't was a roll-up one, because what if you have jewelry you cant roll, like rings or bangles. Anyway I ended up taking my favorite ideas from a few projects and making my own.

It looks like a book, pretty much everything is felt, except the earring holder is tulle, bias tape, and ribbon. The pocket is for rings and has velro to keep it shut. for the bracelet and necklace storage, you just loop the jewelry around the felt strip and then close the clasp. I thought felt was a good choice, because it is soft and flexible and will easily fit inside a suitcase of other bag.

All the jewelry pictured went with the jewelry case to Vicky O for our jewelry swap <3

I ended up making one for my sister Happy but forgot to take pictures before I gave it to her! Made the earring bit fill one side though as she has loads of earrings. Cheers for the idea!

Hey PlanB the size when laid out open is just the regular size of the felt pages that you buy at the craft store Happy about the size of a sheet of printer paper or 8.5X11 inches. I just used one color for the inside, sewed all the storage bits to it, then chose another color for the outside, and sewed decorations to that. Then sewed the inner and outer felt sheets together down the middle where it folds and lastly blanket stitched the two pages together around the edge Happy
