slippers, toddler, recycled
I was inspired by the many baby booties on this site to try making a pair of slippers for my 20 month old daughter. I am NOT a sewer, I'm still afraid to hem curtains, but this project seemed fun. I used an old corduroy skirt, a bit of fleece I had, a strip of ribbon and I cut up an old pleather coat for the soles. I did this without a pattern, just following some of the guidelines on a few tutorials on this site. I'm already looking forward to making another pair!

These are really cute. I would like to make a pair for my niece but I'll never be able to figure it out, could you post some instructions?

love this idea! you did a really great job...especially without a pattern!! you've inspired me to attempt my own for my 2yr old daughter. all the slippers i find are either way too small or way too big.
