Use tissue paper for more than giving gifts! Do your nails too!
I've seen people using paper on their nails and I wanted to try. I didn't have any nice paper but I did have tissue paper left over from Christmas. And so, my nails were born. The picture quality isn't good and neither is my attempt at having nice nails. But, I think with some practice, I can master the tissue paper nail method. (oh, I didn't take pictures while doing my nails. Sorry! I'll try to add pictures the next time I do this.)

  • Step 1

Pick a pretty tissue paper design. My tissue paper was white with silver flowers and vines.

  • Step 2

Cut out your tissue paper so they are about the size of your nails. (It would be great if they were exactly the size of your nails.)

  • Step 3

Apply a clear base coat to your nails. Let your nails dry.

  • Step 4

Apply any color nail polish to your nails. I chose blue, you may choose pink, or white, or even another clear coat.

  • Step 5

While the varnish is still wet, put your tissue paper on your nails. Make sure there are no air bubbles or bumps (otherwise, your nails will look as grungy as mine).

  • Step 6

You'll notice that the tissue paper just looks silly on your finger if you didn't have the measurements right. I just took a pair of scissors and trimmed off the excess. There was still some excess left, but you can fix that when your nails dry.

  • Step 7

Also, your nails may look like you accidentally got tissue paper stuck on them. To make it look nice add a clear coat on top and especially on the edges. If you don't paint the edges with tons of clear polish, the tissue paper will end up fraying quicker.

  • Step 8

Let dry, then fix any excess tissue paper. Then, go out with your friends and watch them be envious of your nails. :)
