Tin Man from Toilet paper roll
Tin Man was the hardest to work on and to take picture of. I am still not happy with the picture: The reflection of the Tin Man messes it up. My Tin Man looks very neat in real life but my digital camera brought up all the tine strings of Hot glue that you don't even see:(
OK. Enough about that. This Tin Man is a part of my Wizard of OZ party-game that will take place this coming Saturday on April 24, 2010.

Step 1Cover Body(toilet paper tube) and head (cardboard cut out) in foil (I've used helium balloon in Silver color, because my daughter is not even 3 years old and foil can be pretty sharp but, I am sure foil is much easier). Start applying eyes, nose, mouth, hat trim, belt, arms - using hot glue.
Axe-handle had been made out of tooth pick wrapped in brown felt and axe itself out of cardboard piece covered in the same material as your Tin Man) -
Step 2This is a complete set of characters for my Wizard of OZ party. I've made them all using the same idea as you found in this tutorial.
