  1. Step 1

    Mark on the inside of the book the size of the clock kit.

  2. Step 2

    Start cutting away at the inside of the book. Make sure the hole is big enough for the clock kit (this may take several fittings).


  3. Step 3

    Drill a hole in the cover of the book for the clock kit (the part that the hands attach to).

  4. Step 4

    Instert the clock kit in the to drilled hole in the cover and attach the hands.


  5. Step 5

    Set the time and close the book.

wow this is really cool, but wouldn't have you had to make a big hole? because thclocks kits are quite "block" looking

I did have to cut up the book and drill a hole to asemble the clock kit in the book.
I love books but after making a few book clutches, I found that cutting books up is rather theraputic and fun (not nearly as sad as I had anticipated). This trick is not to cut up a book that you love. I use funky books from thrift shops and library book sales. I tend to use old text books.

I found the clock kit at Joann Fabric and Crafts.
