Tie Dye Monster Shirt

  • Completed Project: Tie Dye Monster Shirt Picture #1

Very Wild Tie Dye Face on T-shirt

I started doing faces on shirt because I thought they would be neat for kids but I soon got requests from older folks and came up with this one as one of my best.

I drew a face on paper first then folded the shirt in half and copied the drawing onto the shirt. Then I tied the shirt accordingly.

Hi Ariel,
I did a drawing of a face first. Then I folded the shirt in half and copied one side of the face so it would be symmetrical and then pinch tied the main parts. Then after the first dyeing I hand painted some of the details. I used Fiber Reactive or Procion Dyes to get the brilliant color.
Thanks for asking!

That is really amazing! I have some friends that this sort of wild thing would be perfect for.
Great work!
