I made this skirt using Cal Patch's Design-It-Yourself book. Was really fun and easy to make:)

p.s. my making time is so long cos i drafted the pattern, made the skirt and then dyed it :P

  • Step 1

    Sew the skirt. Any skirt. As long as you use a light fabric.

  • Step 2

    Okay this skirt has a chevron stripe pattern (or is ment to :P) So fold it vertically.

  • Step 3

    then fold down the top by 45°. keep accordion folding all the way down. Then get you string and wrap and know it very tightly at equal intervals around the "roll" aka the skirt.

  • Step 4

    Prepare your dye then dye it according to your instructions.

  • Step 5

    rinse rinse rinse then you can cut off the string, rinse more...then let dry..
