I'm not great at sewing (I'm more of a knitter), but I want to get better so I've been trying my hand at toys to get back in the swing of things.

The Mayor was made from fabric remnants I had around the house. (Felt, wool, linen from a shirt I never wear anymore...whatever seemed to work). I found some buttons in my grandma's old button stash for his vest and boutonniere. He's about 6 inches tall or so.

I'm not sure how long it took as I worked on him a little while in the evening after work over the course of a week, so this is just a guess but he probably took about 5 hours. Maybe? He's all hand sewn and, as with my previous project, he probably took me longer to make than it should have what with the rusty sewing skills.
