The Dottie Tutorial
The tutorial for my Dottie.

Print out this template. (Click on the image)

Using the template, cut two rings out of some thin cardboard.
-
Start twisting wool around the rings of cardboard.
-
Go on until you can't see the cardboard anymore (and a bit longer).
-
Move some of the wool to reveal the cardboard.
-
Stick the scissors in from the side.
-
Cut trough all the wool and tie a little string of wool around it, between the two rings.
-
Remove the rings
-
Move it around a bit in your hands to make it a little ball.
-
Stick eyes on it.

Oh I love it! It's like the ash balls from Spirited Away :D I just painted them complete with googly eyes onto my backpack! lol

thats cool!! oh and opposites-girl, the dust balls are in spirited away and my neightbor totoro! i just realized that! i guess hayao has a thing for just balls!

I just finished making one, but instead of googly eyes, I put on different shaped buttons. I'll put up my version as soon as I get a picture of it.
