Spiderman- what a sweetie!
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

I was scoffing some candy sticks with Spiderman on the box, and I had a brilliant idea... Save the boxes and make a funky pop art wallet :)

For those of you who have seen any of my "How to's" before, you'll know that I don't like throwing funky or cute packaging away. This how to is great if you love turning things you'd normally throw away into trashion.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

I chose 4 of the 6 candy stick boxes and cut out four images.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Then I chose another 4 images, cut these out and stuck onto the cardboard, so you have something like this-

Score the cardboard in half so it can be folded over. Cover the images in the clear plastic.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Place this to one side. Next, cut out your last two boxes. These are going to be the inside of your wallet.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Staple the bottom 2 images to the top 2 images- like this. Where the pink lines are*, glue these to the wrong side of your first part...

*Be careful not to glue UNDER the middle pink line, or you'll never get any cards, etc in your wallet

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Like this... You can choose to cover this in clear plastic before you glue it on.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

I then cut out some fabric and sewed round the edges, leaving one side for the zip. If you're not too great at sewing, you could glue the edges instead of sewing them...

This part is going to be where you usually keep any spare moneys.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

Glue the purse part to the other side of the cardboard, making sure the zip side faces away from the wallet. Glue it in roughly where i've shown, so that you can close your wallet.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

I added a popper to close the wallet. If you don't want to use poppers, you could always use velcro...

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

And there you have your very own pop art spiderman wallet :D
