Create your own stencils on a word processor. You can use an Exacto knife or scissors to cut out the letters.

Leave enough blank areas around the words to achieve the block look. Measure evenly around the words (we did 1 inch on the sides and 1/2 inch on the top and bottom). We also used a paper cutter to ensure straight lines.

Use adhesive spray on the backs of the stencils to keep them from moving when you spray the paint. We also used washable Elmer's Glue to fill in parts of certain letters that we didn't want to get painted. When you wash the shirt, the glue will come out.

Using Simply Spray Soft Fabric Paint in Black, spray one even coat over the stencils. Let dry before wearing. We sprayed one coat and it was perfect!
