Mockingjay Metal Keychain

I got the chain and toggle clasps at Hobby Lobby while there was a 50% off all jewelry making supplies. The keychain is from Borders, and since I am a Borders Reward Member, I got the keychain for $3.99 instead of the regular price of $6.99. Seriously, $6.99? Even if you buy all these supplies full price, it will be cheaper than the $20 version at Hot Topic.

Do not underestimate the power of coupons and membership.

Get all your supples, plus the round nose pliers for this project. Read the project description for info on the exact supplies I used.

Separate the mockingjay from the keychain, but keep the jump ring that is attached to the mockingjay for later.

Reduce your chain to desired length. I took about 7.5 inches off the 30 inch chain. Attach one part of the clasp to each end.

Attach the mockingjay via the jump ring to the metal chain. I personally didn't attach it to a metal ring on the chain, but I have the chain feeding through the jump ring, for free movement of the pendant.
