Making a super easy tutorial for your party decorations (and photo settings!).
Good afternoon lovelies,
today we’re making a super easy tutorial for your party decorations (and photo settings!). Despite this, I managed to make a lot of silly things that made photographing the cute thing a little complex. Well not every diy can always have a perfect end and my huge mistakes are an advantage for you not to make them! So skim quickly through these points and you’ll do fine.

Stupid things not to do:

blow your balloon with breath. Yes, I did this stupid thing and yes, it just was hanging sadly downwards. How could I not think of helium? Was good in chemistry! If you just can’t have helium we figured out a trick that will keep it upwards, it’s just a bit more elaborate.
once you put confetti inside and you blow for the first time be careful cause the first breath usually comes back in your mouth and we don’t want confetti to go in your throat! Never have this phase done by children.
you finally managed to blow the first breath in and you got excited and kept blowing, and blowing and.. Baam! Everything exploded, confetti everywhere! Beautiful! But that’s not what we want, so don’t exagerate ^_^
if you’re making your own confetti choose cardboard coloured on both sides, the colouring effect will result much better.

Lots of advices for such a simple tutorial! Now let’s get into the making.

  • How to make a party balloon. The Confetti Series: Diy Balloon Decor - Step 1
    Step 1

    You’ll need:

    - transparent balloons
    - ready made confetti or coloured cardboard and Hole puncher
    - funnel
    - helium or plastic stick + hot glue + flat simple button
    - ribbon or string

Make your own confetti if you don’t have any and make a few slightly bigger (I used the inner hole of tape as a reference)

  • How to make a party balloon. The Confetti Series: Diy Balloon Decor - Step 2
    Step 2

Insert your balloon at the end of the funnel and start adding small confetti. The bigger ones might have to be added by hand. Now blow (or fill with helium) till you’re happy with the size of the balloon. Finish by making a knot.

    Step 3

If you used helium jump this phase:

Using the hot glue attach the button to the tyed end of the balloon and then use the glue again to attach the stick to the button. The tricky part is making the glue dry while keeping balloon and stick in the position you want at the end (straight vertically in our case).

    Step 4

Add a pretty ribbon or just a simple string and you’re done!
