Spice up your bookcase!
This book case really brings personality to a room! It took forever, but it was well worth it!

The only think I paid for in this project was the lacquer which was $12 @ Home Depot. The paper was from an old book and the glue I had laying around my house.

  • How to make a bookcase / cubby. Textured Book Case - Step 1
    Step 1

    Make sure surface is primed.

    Find some paper- old news paper, and old book, old letters, whatever you want! Cut to the desired size. My strips were 2.25 inches.

    Step 2

    Dilute glue with water and apply to back of paper strip (as if you were decoupaging).
    Apply to surface.

    Step 3

    Cover entire surface until desired texture is achieved.
    Seal bookcase with a lacquer or varnish of some sort.
