"Teen" Rating Tee

  • Completed Project: "Teen" Rating Tee Picture #1

Rated "T" for Teen!

It it a rating or a warning?

Fun tee I made for my daughter's 13th birthday.

  1. Step 1

    Pre-wash t-shirt without fabric softener.

  2. Step 2

Cut a piece of freezer paper to 8 1/2" x 11" so you can feed it through your printer.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Print the "Teen Stencil" on the freezer paper (non-shiny side).

  4. Step 4

Cut out the gray areas with an Exacto or craft knife.

  5. Step 5

Iron stencil onto t-shirt, centering "T" as shown.

  6. Step 6

Add newspaper, an old box or a t-shirt form inside the shirt so the paint won't bleed through.

  7. Step 7

Paint with fabric paint. I used Lumiere silver paint and a sponge brush. Be gentle and take your time.

  8. Step 8

Allow to dry about 30 minutes before peeling off stencil. Leave to dry overnight.

cute~!

theres two things i dont understand, one what is freezer paper? and two, if you cut out the gray areas, you take the white or gray area and put it on the shirt?
ifs its white how do you get the box shape, and if its gray how do you get it to be white?? >_< im lost.
VERY VERY CUTE I'll be sure to make a verison.

Freezer paper is available where you find aluminum foil and such at the supermarket. It's got a coating of wax on one side so that it will temporarily stick when ironed on.

You cut the gray sections out and iron the white sections on, then you paint what were previously the gray sections. I hope that makes sense!
