tried to buy a tartan dress I liked, decided making one was an easier option :) Also should say SHIFT dress, not shirt.
I forgot to take how to photos but I based it on this girls blog for making a shift dress -

And then made it up as I went along. Added a couple of darts at the bust, took the waist in a bit, etc as I'm a bit of a sew by the seat of your pants kinda gal :)

doh! Just realised the photos were from pre hemming, that's why you can see the white tacking stitch. Might add another photo once I wear it for my night out and am all dolled up ;D
