This is made by my husband's oversized t-shirt. I just cut the shirt and stared at it, then this bolero idea came up on my mind. It is very comfortable and yes, we can wash it cuz it's t shirt! Try make one for yourself, and if you use your t shirt, you can make one for your daughter!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut the dot line. Make sure it's straight.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Now you cut the round fabric to 2 pieces and make 2 small tubes. (this is going to be sleeves.)


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Cut the dot line of shirt, then sew them inside.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Now you sew the red dot and pull the thread to make the circumference in same as sleeve.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Saw the sleeves together.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Now you can wear it!

You need only 1 shirt. Cut the bottom of T shirt and they are going to be sleeves.

Do you think this would work well with a oversized sweater or knit? Sewing a sweater or knit will most likely ruffle or make “lettuce” edging, but I think it may give a good texture. What ya think? Any pointers ;-)
