I've seen lots of t-shirt bracelets around on pinterest (most notably from the lovely 'henry happened' blog so have linked to that). I'm often making plaiting/braiding bracelets so this is my attempt at making one with t-shirt material and specifically how to finish the endings. I've used pictures of ones I've made using different colour cord but ribbon works well also. An alternative ending I also tried (handy if you don't want to pull it over hand) is a fastening and chain - using the cord slightly higher and the wrapping fabric around the wire to hide it either side.
1
If you need to cut up fabric/old t-shirt into three strips, about 2cm/0.5-1inch wide and 30cm/12 inches long. Cut the cord into three 28cm/11inch pieces.
Hold the ends together, with the cord slightly higher. Wind the wire around the ends to hold the cord and t-shirt strips together and in place
2
Separate into three groups and plait
3
Plait until it's the right length for your wrist. I have made mine to pull over my hand.
Wind wires around the ends and cut off excess cord and t-shirt strips.
4
With the wire, continue winding around both ends to bind them together
5
Cut a piece of fabric to cover the ends and wire. Fold the fabric over and wrap around the ends, glue in place.

Leave the glue to dry then it's ready to wear..Enjoy!
