Sweetly Simple Wrist Cuffs

  • Completed Project: Sweetly Simple Wrist Cuffs Picture #1
  • Completed Project: Sweetly Simple Wrist Cuffs Picture #2

Three colors couldn't be sweeter.
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

I didn't take pictures during the making because I wasn't sure it would come out right...
And it was also in the wee hours of the morning.

But I will explain everything as well as I can.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Just leave a comment below. (:

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Measure around your wrist with a tape measure and add a quarter of an inch for end seams.

My wrist measurement is 5.5 inches, so my final measurement is 5.75 inches.

Cut out a piece of your lace with your new measurement. (I used cotton lace.)

By the way, sorry about the crappy MSPaint drawing.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Remember the measurement used to cut the lace? Add half an inch to it.

    Mine would then be 5.75 + 0.5 = 6.25 inches.

Cut a piece of the embellished (or not) ribbon with this new measurement. The extra on the ends will be used to fold over on the ends of the lace.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Sew the ribbon to the top of the lace.

The ends will fold over to the back of the lace. This will make sure the ribbon won't fall off or fray at the ends.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Take the other ribbon and cut out a length of about 12 inches.
Tie the bow as shown in the video.
Make sure the bow is tight!

Now take this bow and sew it on to the lace and/or ribbon, wherever you'd like.

I sewed mine in the dead center, below the embellishments.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Take your clasps and sew them on to the ends of your wrist cuffs.

I used an old bra clasp. It holds well.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Connnnngratulations! You should be done. (:

The wrist cuffs should either fit snugly or just a wee bit loose around your wrists.

My first one was snug, and my second one was a little more easily maneuverable.
