Description

Made this pants with an XL sweater that my sister was not using any more.

Instructions

  1. Small photo jul 31 9 58 07 am

    Cut under the collar.

  2. Small photo jul 31 10 02 52 am

Optional. Cut the bottom band. I thought I was going to need it for the waist band but didn't.

  3. Small photo jul 31 10 05 22 am

I cut the pocket out. Left some pieces of it to make patches on the sweatpants.

  4. Small photo jul 31 10 07 23 am

Fold the sweater in half and cut straight down.

  5. Small photo jul 31 10 15 17 am

unfold the two pieces, place the two right sides facing each other and sew the U shape.

  6. Small photo jul 31 10 54 04 am

sew the extra fabric around to make the patches.

  7. Small photo jul 31 11 00 08 am

I didn't want my sweatpants to be flare so I used some skinny jeans as pattern to make them fit better and I cut leaving an inch of seam allowance on the sides

  8. Small photo jul 31 10 42 26 am

sew the sides of the pants. on the wrong sides

  9. Small photo jul 31 12 22 38 pm

Fold about an inch inward for the waist band and use the string from the hoodie.

  10. Small photo jul 31 12 42 10 pm

cut two small wholes on the front of the pants to pull out the string and you are done.
