Sushi

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Place the sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat. (if you do not have one you can use clingflim)

  2. Step 2

    Spread the cooled sushi rice over the nori in a thin layer.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Cut very thin slices of fish. I used salmon and you can put in vegetables such as pepper and cucumber.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Place the fish and vegetables in the middle af the rice and nori


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Starting with the edge nearest to you roll it very gently but tightly into a tight cylinder.

  6. Step 6

    Pull the rolling mat away and you will find there will be a bit of the nori left. Get some wasbi and spread a very thin layer on it to seal the sushi together.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Get a very sharp knife and cut the sushi into small pieces.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    Serve with soy sauce, oyster sause, wasabi etc :)

I loooove making sushi! i find it is a lot easier to cut the rolls with a hot knife. So put the knife under some hot water before cutting ^_^ yummz!

This looks great, but there's only one problem for me...
I hate wasabi. :( Is there anything that I could use instead of wasabi to seal the sushi together?
