 Hobbies

Comics, video-making, cooking inordinately complicated foods

 Favorite Crafts

Ack! Another "choosing a favorite limb" question! At the moment, I'm deep into podcast-making, kanzashi, crochet and plastic canvas. No, seriously!

 What you craft along to

Hmmmm... can I put in a plug for my own crafty podcast here? :-) Sometimes I do go back and listen to older shows while crafting, because after all the hours I spend editing them, it's rather nice just to enjoy the interviews as a listener.

 First Project You Ever Made

I took a cardboard box at about age 4. I drew little tires and bottles of milk, and cut them out and glued them to the box. Then I christened it a "Milk Truck Paper Box" for my kindergarten homework. No idea what in the world inspired me to do that.

 Favorite Items to Make

I love to make everything, but I do end up making a lot of flower-shaped things for some reason.

 Anything Else

I think making is one of the most fundamental and important things we do as humans. And I believe we ALL need to make something, whether that's a hand-knitted scarf or a pot of soup or a crystal radio or a container garden. Making helps us enjoy life and grow skills and know oursleves better.
