 <  Image 1 of 2  >

o tonight i was thinking what my boyfriend and i could have for a snack.... we dont really have flour or anything.. but i looked in the cupboard and saw a box of bisquick. we dont have cheese and i was thinking about making biscuits, but i really prefer them with cheese

so then i went online and googled things to make with bisquick. i saw a recipe for cinnamon buns, and thought id try it out. though it called for white sugar and we dont have any of that either. so i substituted brown sugar for the white sugar and away i went.

they were super good! (my boyfriend rated them a 9.9/10 .. i always make him rate my food lol!) and i thought they could have stand to have a little more cinnamon. but he loved them!!!

this was my first time ever making cinnamon buns!

here they are fresh out of the oven!

and here they are with glaze! yum!

so without further ado, i give you the recipe:

  1. Step 1

    For Rolls:
    1. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease bottom and sides of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Stir together 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; reserve.

    2. Stir Bisquick, milk and 2 tablespoons sugar until dough forms. If dough is too sticky, gradually mix in enough Bisquick (up to 1/4 cup) to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough onto surface well dusted with Bisquick; gently roll in Bisquick to coat.

    3. Shape into ball; knead 10 times. Roll into rectangle, 15x9 inches; spread with butter. Sprinkle evenly with sugar mixture [sprinkle evenly with raisins now too if you're using them]. Roll up tightly, beginning at 15-inch side. Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into 1 1/4-inch slices; place cut sides down in pan.

    4. Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Spread Glaze over warm rolls.

  2. Step 2

For Glaze: Stir ingredients together until smooth.
