This blinged out necklace will catch everyone's eye.

As I was perusing Polyvore one day, I stumbled upon Tarina Tarintino's Tuxedo Lingerie Puff Heart Necklace. I just loved the necklace, so I came up with this tutorial to show you how you can make your own.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

First you will need to make a heart template. I searched online to find a heart template I liked, then printed it out. I then put a piece of chalk paper between the template and the cardboard and traced the heart I liked. My heart was approximately 4 inches wide by 3 inches tall. Make sure it's not too small because it's going to shrink down to 1/3 of it's size.

  2. Step 2 2

Cut out the cardboard heart. This will be your tracing template.

  3. Step 3 3

Lay the cardboard heart on top of the black Shrinky Dinks plastic. Trace around the cardboard heart with a chalk pencil or a regular pencil.

  4. Step 4 4

    Cut out the heart.

  5. Step 5 5

Use a hole punch to punch a hole in the center top of the heart.

  6. Step 6 6

Bake the heart as instructed on the Shrinky Dinks package.

  7. Step 7 7

Now use a toothpick to spread a thin line of adhesive around the edge of the heart. Lay the rhinestones on top of the line of adhesive and gently press them down. Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 48 hours.

  8. Step 8 8

Make a tiny ribbon bow and glue it in the center of the heart.

  9. Step 9 9

Measure out 16 inches of medium silver chain. Cut with wire cutters.

  10. Step 10 10

Attach one side of the toggle clasp(with a small jump ring) to one end of the chain with pliers.

  11. Step 11 11

With pliers attach the other side of the toggle clasp to the other end of the chain (with a small jump ring). Try the necklace on and see where you would like your heart to sit. You can put the toggle anywhere you like. I have mine situated on the side of my neck.

  12. Step 12 12

Keep track of the link that you want your heart connected to, and attach the heart with a large jump ring. Close the jump ring with a pair of pliers.

That's it! Now you have a super cute, super sparkly heart necklace!
