Cut Out + Keep

Sun Treasure Box

My sunny treasure box.

I got this idea from two different locations. One from a book I bought and the other idea was from my kid's school. The book said to draw a design or picture onto a piece of cardboard and then trace it with the glue. After it has dried then paint over it and then use shoe polish to give it some dimension. My kid's school did something like this but they did it on a piece of wood and it turned out awesome! So I used the two ideas to make my treasure box. I had this made before I joined this site so I don't have a how to, but it's very easy. Follow the same directions as the book but on a shoe box or any other type of box you choose. I painted it with a primer first and then after it was dried I used a copper acrylic paint. After several coats and it has dried I used a gold acrylic paint. I did use the shoe polish brushed over the glued lines and it slightly gave it some dimension. If anyone is interested I can make another and do a how to from that one.
