Cute sunny rattle for my nephew!

My baby nephew's name is Carson, and we've started collecting Cars and Suns for him because of an accidental purchase of burp cloths with a sun and a car on them. Because it sounds like his name when said aloud! I've made a car rattle, as well, and will post it soon.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Cut out two circles of yellow felt, and two sunbursts of gold and orange, or whatever colors you like.

  2. Step 2 2

Stitch your bells onto the center of one sunburst, going back through a few times, to make sure they're secure. Just in case baby manages to get it open somehow, so he/she won't be able to swallow a bell.

  3. Step 3 3

Make a sandwich of your sunbursts, with the bells as your pb+j center.

  4. Step 4 4

If you like, stitch a face on one of your circles before you do this next part.
Place your sunburst sammie in between your yellow circles, and straight stitch almost all the way around.

  5. 5

Stuff with polyfill, and finish stitching. Tie a knot, and put your needle back through the fabric, to the back side, snip very close to the felt. This way, your knot hides, and there's no dangly bit of thread left.
