Cute and punky.
I just...really wanted a studded headband, but I didn't want it to snag my hair. So I made a funky one with some recycled studs from an old belt.

  • Step 1

So, start by finding a really thin headband. Like, thin enough for the studs to wrap their little legs around it. I don't know what to call the two little things that studs use to stud themselves. But I always think of them as legs.

    Step 2

Start anywhere you like, though I suggest somewhere above the ears, so that they won't cut into the skin. Start by putting a large dot of hot glue. Big enough so that it secures one of the sides of the stud. This will keep the studs in place until you set it with the ribbon. Secure each stud with its own pair of legs.

Once you have put on all the studs you want, pick your lace ribbon. You could also use regular ribbon, I just really like lace.Whichever you use, make sure it is the width of the headband. Use small dots of glue to attach. This will not only keep your studs in place, it will also keep the legs from snagging your hair.
Notice the picture of the fairy in the background.
