There's not much to these dolls, but they're adorable anyway!

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

    Gather your supplies. you'll need:

*Emboidery floss in a skin color, a hair color, and whatever colors you want the clothes to be
    *Three twist-ties
    *One large bead
    * Craft (tacky) glue
*Scissors (the smaller, the better for cutting the embroidery floss)

  2. Step 2 2

Cut the three twist-ties in half. You'll only need three halfs, so set one aside for another craft. ;)

  3. Step 3 3

Twist the twist-ties halfs into a basic body shape. One half will be the body, one the arms, and one the legs.

  4. Step 4 4

Fill the hole of the bead with glue and slide it onto the "neck" of your twist-tie body. You may want to trim the arms and legs a bit, depending on how big your bead is.

  5. Step 5 5

This is where it gets a little tricky. Spread a thin coat of glue n the head and neck of your doll. Startwrapping the skin-colored embroidery floss around them, starting at the top of the head and working your way down to the neck.

  6. Step 6 6

Continue to wrap the skin-colored around the whole body. Depending on what you want your doll to be wearing, you may be able to skip this step (like if it's going to be wearing jeans and a long-sleeved shirt).

  7. Step 7 7

Change colors of floss by gluing the end of the floss to the back of the doll with a tiny drop of glue, then smooth it down. Start colors the same way.

  8. Step 8 8

Make clothes for your doll by simply wrapping differant colors of embroidery floss around the body. You can pretty much make your doll wear any outfit you can think of.

  9. Step 9 9

Glue on snippets of floss to make hair in any style you want.

  10. Step 10 10

Add details. All I did was styly my dolls hair, but you can add whatever you want, from drawing on a face with a Sharpie to adding acessories like shoes, scarfs, and jewelry. The cool thing about this project is that, because the dolls are so plain at first, there's so much room for personalization!!! :D
