You can use any kind of ply wood and spray paint it black. I went back and used a metallic blue and purple acrylic paint. After that I applied a clear coat-varnish.

I just gathered 8 round objects(all different sizes). Then used a silver pen and made small dashes as an outline of the object.

I went back over the dashes and hammered medium sized nails.

This part is tricky, You can make up any pattern to do this, As long as you keep up from the adjacent nail. Just be creative with it! I have some patterns located in the file attachments.
After cutting the string, I used a little dab of glue on the knot so they wont come untied.

Slowly it will all come together

I used a different pattern with the stars, I just randomly made them up as I went. After the last star, I went back and sprayed them with glitter spray paint.
