Slip the loop of the head pin on to the jewellery clasp and close the hoop by twisting the open side backwards with the pliers. Now when you need to mark a stitch, simply attach the clasp to the loop. Make as many as you need for your knitting project.

What a great idea, the k and the p are really useful with novelty yarns where the stiches lose their definition.

Awesome idea! I just learned to knit and someone suggested something like this to keep track, but I thought it would be bulky and more hassle than it's worth, but your creation looks very useful. Thanks!
