  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Start off by collecting loads of old magazines, or any kind of scrap paper! Magazines are best because they are so colorful. I am also using a fliers put thou the door for furniture!(I suppose there will be loads more b4 xmas! but I shall add these 2 my chain!)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Cut the paper in2 long thin strips about 1" wide and 8" long (if you make them longer the chain link goes a bit disfigured and weird lookin, but whatever you wanna do!)
I use my paper cutter! So quick!
Anyway cut all the paper in2 strips as many strip as you think you will need to get the length of you paper chain.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Then all you do for the first one is staple or glue the 2 ends 2gether to form a loop!
    Simple...

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Thread another strip throu the first strip and make a link...
    So easy!
I just don't believe how much pleasure I get from doing something so simple....but I do!
No I'm not sad! Cos all my kids and grandchildren love it 2!
Well, maybe were all SAD?But what do I care!

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

After a while the paper chain gets longer...and longer!
Doing this is infectious! Everyone wants 2 join in the fun!
This is fun! Yeah, simple fun!
You can even have a cuppa while doing it!
    No stress here!

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Anyway finished for now, we have run out of fliers!Plus it's not quite xmas yet!So every-time a flier comes though the door we will add it 2 our paper chain and home made snowflakes!Cos I have just mastered how to get six point on my flake!
AHHH!The simple pleasures of life :)

I just love them because all the family can do them young or old! Pleasure for next to nothing and something that start out as nothing becomes something FAB!
It also whiles away the hours!
I was working in a cafe at my local youth club and started to make them the kids here in my area thought they were weird but once they all join in and sat 2gether nattering about stuff they really loved doing it and still do!
