From boring to Fab!

My bestie has had this mirror since she was a little girl and it wasn't working in our crazy collection apartment. She was going to pitch it, but I said NO! I will turn it into something awesome. Since I have started working at my 'real job' as a receptionist, I have been collecting the cancelled postage stamps from the mail. I am also a huge ModgePodge Freak! SO *Lightbulb* I will decopauge the mirror frame with stamps and turn it on its side to make it look like a tag. I glued one a felt ring and some chunky red yarn using Tacky Glue.

Description

My bestie has had this mirror since she was a little girl and it wasn't working in our crazy collection apartment. She was going to pitch it, but I said NO! I will turn it into something awesome. Since I have started working at my 'real job' as a receptionist, I have been collecting the cancelled postage stamps from the mail. I am also a huge ModgePodge Freak! SO *Lightbulb* I will decopauge the mirror frame with stamps and turn it on its side to make it look like a tag. I glued one a felt ring and some chunky red yarn using Tacky Glue.

Instructions

  1. 1. Sand the frame down and paint. Let dry. 2. Glue stamps to the frame and seal with the glue. The hard part is planning the layout. I just went for it which I found much easier. the direction of the stamps placement varied depending on the direction of the frame edges. Seal the frame with coats of Modge Podge or acrilic sealer. 3.(Optional) For tag look: Cut out a ring shape from felt. Cut a section of chunky yarn. Attach both pieces to the frame using Tacky Glue. Let it all dry. 3. Hang on the wall!
